RESIDENCIAL SOLAR INSTALLATIONS IN ENGLAND BOOSTED BY NEW CONSTRUCTION RULES
New houses should produce 31% less carbon dioxide than today according to the plans drawn up at the end of January.
The new rules should start to be applied to new construction plans in Spring 2022. They herald a set of far more strict regulations such as the Future Homes Standard which will be implemented in 2025 and which will reduced permitted emissions by 80%.
According to the Solar Energy UK association, this goal could result in a fivefold increase in the number of houses equipped with a photovoltaic system. Builders are opting for low-carbon technology to help to achieve the reduction goals.+ logo of two associations
