After breaking a decade-long installation record in 2021 with 27 GW, 2022 is set to see 39 GW of new European solar capacity, reveals SolarPower Europe.<\/p><p>The market is set to overshoot the highest projections, but the challenges in the PV sector are important. The technology\u2019s contribution was in jeopardy from high raw material costs, logistical challenges and rising module prices, recently warned the analysts Wood Mackenzie.<\/p><p>\u201cA real challenge the sector is facing is a critical skills shortage\u201d, which could \u201crisk not having the number of installers and project developers that we need\u201d, said the policy director of SPE.<\/p><p>The EU intends to reach the new targets through four separate initiatives.
